All Recording King Banjos purchased from Fitch Banjos come with a Complete Professional
Set-up. During this set-up, I take the banjo completely apart to check the tone ring -to-rim fit and correct it if
neccesary. This involves machining and trueing up the wooden rim on a lathe. I also check and correct the string action which
sometimes involves re-cutting the neck heel to provide the correct angle of the neck to the rim to lower ro raise the strings.
After re-assembly, the proper truss rod, head, and coordinator rod adjustments are performed. I also check and correct the
string nut spacing and groove depth. The frets are inspected also. All of the adjustments and corrections are critical for
a great sounding and playing banjo. This set-up alone is a $125.00 value ! You will be assured that once
you receive your new Recording King banjo that it will be ready to play and sound its very best. Upgrades such as professional-grade
bridges and Keith-D-tuners are also avalible. 5th string railroad spikes can be installed at no additional charge upon request.

I just got my RK-R99
Artist Supreme from your Recording King Custom Shop and wow the set-up on this banjo perfect.
It certainly is worth waiting the few extra days for you to perform your magic.
I could not believe how easy it is to fret the strings. The several adjustments
and modification you during the set-up make this banjo a joy to play. I have
to say I have been spoiled. If anyone is in the market for a new banjo or would
like the one you own set-up perfectly I would highly recommend Cliff’s Custom Shop.
